Description is not accurate

Even though this is really pretty when finished I have to say it was my first one that I have done that I really didnt like. The description says abstract landscape and I dont feel like this was a landscape at all. Plus there is this exact same sun face in another kit offered here. I know its mystery but please at least get the category right!

1st mystery kit done, what I've learned...

A few things about my first experience with a mystery kit.

I've purchased every one that's come out since I started painting a year ago. But, this was the first I've completed. Im a peeker, so I specifically choose to do this kit since I had been good and not looked at the finished picture. I wanted the full experience.

My first thought when I opened up the canvas, well let's just say that I was overwhelmed. I have seen what they look like. But what gave me concern was how I paint. I know that sounds strange but stay with me a moment.

The canvas is all symbols with slight color variations. Now the drills dont necessary match the color on a regular canvas, but its close. You'd know if your about to place black on a space meant for pink for an example. And I realized then as I had that thought that I had no idea how I actually paint.

Do I paint by symbol? Color? Something else? Was I going to be able to see the symbols absent color. And then the realization that I have like 15 mystery canvas in backlog hit me.

Now with that said, I had no troubles at all. Took about 30 hours. I had a great flow going. If the canvas was a book, it would be a page turner.

Another concern that I had is that my first DAC experience was not a positive one. One of the colors was numbered wrong. Basically it was a 310, black, but in the bags were a blueish grey. Being new to painting, I didn't know. So I was about a quarter done a a very large canvas and it wasn't looking right. Customer service was…

Eh

I agree with some of the other critical comments on here--it was REALLY easy to tell what this was going to be as soon as I unrolled it. This was my first mystery painting from DAC, and in comparison to the second, it was night and day--the second left me guessing, and even the placement was a mystery until it was 3/4 done. I did love the overall color pallet of this one, but the placements of these colors was not to my taste. Which made this (mostly) fun to do the painting and now I don't know what to do with it.
