After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling. She is a self taught artist whos work often contains hidden elements and a twist or two if you look closely.

The Tigers are my home baseball team, win or lose they are my Tigers. This will be the second painting I've done with a Tiger and I love him so much. The colors are vibrant. It's also a simple painting to work on. I am excited to get this framed!
