Love Birds Forever

My husband always referred to us as Love Birds, and I have completed a couple of smaller pictures with some. He passed away last summer, never knowing I even bought this particular kit. I took a break from diamond painting during the transition, adjusting to widow life, and moving cross-country. I use a spinning wheel to determine which picture I do, and this was it. It took me two months, but I am glad to be placing diamonds again. Richard Lorenz's paintings bring a smile, and this one truly depicts the style of Love birds we were. My husband would have gotten a laugh and enjoyed seeing this. Thank you, DAC.

Every Lorenz image has so many fun details. I love the rich colors. One color was very short supply but DAC shipped more so I could finish. I’m excited to get this one dry mounted for my collection.

Bringing Me Joy

Frequent visits to my local Hobby Lobby's clearance frame section scored me this amazing frame for 25 bucks. It was almost a perfect fit for these love birds. I spent an additional 15 bucks for dry mounting and a container of black craft paint to paint the edges, trimmed it to fit the frame and I had the perfect piece of art. It hangs in my bedroom where I have been spending extra time lately because of rotator cuff surgery. Every morning I wake up and the colors and whimsy of this beautiful Richard Lorenz piece greet me and put a smile on my face.
