Lighthouse Pathway

The more I get into this kit, the more I realize how clever it is.

This is my first Diamond Art Club kit, and what has impressed me most so far is how much thought has gone into the actual experience of working on it and not just the artwork itself.

The organization is excellent. The drill labels include the DMC numbers, and the colors are grouped in a way that makes them much easier to find while I’m working. The protective cover is already perforated into manageable sections, which sounds like a tiny detail until you’ve worked on a large canvas and realize how convenient it is.

Even the rendering seems designed with the person actually placing the drills in mind. There are nice stretches of color blocking without making the image feel simplistic, so I can get into a rhythm instead of constantly hunting through dozens of colors every few drills.

I’m still early in the project, so I’ll reserve judgment on the finished result, but so far this kit feels less like somebody simply printed an image onto a sticky canvas and more like somebody actually thought about how a diamond painter would use it.

That kind of attention to detail is what keeps surprising me. Every time I get a little farther into it, I find another small thing that makes me think, “Oh. That was smart.”
