This was my first DAC painting, and I got it for personal reasons. This past year I was undergoing multiple surgeries because of cancer. More often than not my leg was in a contraption, leaving one leg cockeyed. Flamingos became my symbol for fighting cancer, funny enough.
So to see a Flamingo, interacting with my favorite mystical creature, I had to have this painting.
It was a joy to work on. There was a good balance of color blocking and detailed work. The final image came out gorgeous! I'm delighted to have this finished piece in my collection.
