I was instantly drawn to this image the moment I saw it, because I am from Japan and it brings back many memories. The shrine is "ruled" by foxes, so I changed the little cat to a fox to maintain the integrity of its history, and also fixed the girl's right leg so it shows a proper foot. Other than that, the painting is gorgeous!
