After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling. She is a self taught artist whos work often contains hidden elements and a twist or two if you look closely.

Loved this painting. In every section, there was more and more detail shown. I love Dakota Daetwiler paintings, I did this and donated to my local elementary school library. They absolutely loved it and it is now hanging in the main library. The students were shown it and were told how reading helps your imagination and dreams soar. Thank you to DD and DAC for putting out the beautiful painting.
I loved working on this painting with all the detail and fantasy. It was so much fun watching this adventure evolve. Reading is the best way to explore anything you want without leaving your home.

Very Beautiful Canvas. Every little section has a new surprise. Really enjoying working on this one. Have one section left after I finish color 158 in the top. This canvas has been such a thrill to do. Love Dakota Daetwiler, and the quality of DAC.
Absolutely loved doing this one. It was big but so much sparkle.

I had to wait for this one to be restocked multiple times before I was able to catch it and buy it! Boy, am I glad I did! It’s the biggest one I’ve done yet, beating out Luna Lovegood (77k+ diamonds), and I’m so excited to get to the end. It’s definitely on the more advanced side if you’ve never done one before and I wouldn’t suggest starting off with one this big. LOL! But when you’re ready, Hazel is an absolutely beautiful canvas to try!
