I don't usually do paintings with people but I am glad I did this one. It changed my mind on doing people. She turned out so beautiful and was a real pleasure to work on. Dakota is a wonderful artist!

After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling. She is a self taught artist whos work often contains hidden elements and a twist or two if you look closely.
