About the artist

Joelle McIntyre

Joelle holds a BFA in Illustration/Visual Design from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth's School of Visual & Performing Arts. She is passionate about creating challenging puzzle compositions and painting in miniature. She is inspired by the 16th century Dutch still life painters and the Art Nouveau Movement. Joelle and her family, including a terrier named “Polly,” make their home and studio in Johnston, Rhode Island.

Brilliant colors, beautiful piece

This was my 2nd DAC and my first square drills.

I thoroughly enjoyed working on this masterpiece. The colors are very vibrant.

DAC has such sturdy canvas and quality drills, I couldn't imagine doing ones by anyone else . You know what they say - you get what you pay for.

Beautiful Summer Day

This is my second canvas from DAC from artist Joelle McIntyre (and I have a couple of more in my stash!) and she is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. The colors are fantastic, plenty of details and things going on in artwork so you never get bored. This one has a one two punch - plenty of gorgeous butterflies and stunning flowers. Oddly enough, my favorite part of this picture is the trellis in the background and the arborvitae bushes next to it. I have a whole bunch of these along the back of my yard and these are perfect replicas! Sorry could not get a better picture....no matter what I tried, I was getting glare, because yes, it is incredibly sparkly!

How to use

This meditative craft involves placing hundreds of sparkling resin rhinestones, one-by-one, on an adhesive color-coded canvas to create a vivid, shimmering work of art.

Step 1

Dip the tip of the applicator tool into the strip of wax

Step 2

Pick up each diamond by pressing the applicator to the diamond’s rounded, faceted side

Step 3

Apply each diamond to the adhesive canvas template, placing it based on the color-coded chart
