Sarah Richter hails from a small village in Germany, where she spent most of her time drawing magical and mythological beings amid the beauty and melancholy of night. I literally cried the first time I felt the canvas on this piece as this was my first DAC. I’m hooked and I couldn’t have picked a better piece to start with. It’s my favorite thing on my wall for now until I finish more.

This meditative craft involves placing hundreds of sparkling resin rhinestones, one-by-one, on an adhesive color-coded canvas to create a vivid, shimmering work of art.
Step 1
Dip the tip of the applicator tool into the strip of wax
Step 2
Pick up each diamond by pressing the applicator to the diamond’s rounded, faceted side
Step 3
Apply each diamond to the adhesive canvas template, placing it based on the color-coded chart
