I believe that when a piece of art speaks to you, you should listen. If a month or two goes by and it still won’t shut up, find a way to own it. Such was the case with this Spangler piece. It reminds me of parties I attended long ago, in houses less grand but filled with lots of books and cats and friendly, interesting people. The kit materials were of good quality. A lot of the 209s had specks on them, but I still had more than enough to finish the piece; overall there was very little trash for such a large project. DAC’s rendering does justice to the artwork, which is detailed enough that I never once got bored with it. Took 3 months to complete, and I’m a little sad that it’s over.
