After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling. She is a self taught artist whos work often contains hidden elements and a twist or two if you look closely.

Well, I think the gorgeous black cat in this painting is allowing all the little mice to do their things because he sees that what they are doing are helpful and intelligent in some way! My diamond painting buddy in the one picture would probably do the same but not for the same reasons. He is just truly lazy! What a beautiful picture this is!

Have completed 2 rows of this painting and I'm loving it, the only gripe is ,that one colour is slightly pointed, so when you run your hands over the canvas to see if everything is lying flat,these are higher than the other drills.
