As an avid anime/studio ghibli fan, I’m always excited for Yuumei’s work, and this is my favorite SG movie so I loved working on it! My only small issue was I had two colors I ran out of, one I already had a backup color for and the other DAC sent out to me immediately after I emailed them, so all was well! 🥰 I was a little thrown off by the arm shading but it makes sense once you consider the rendering process and how close they’re able to get with what they have. Overall it was a great piece to work on and I enjoyed it a lot!!

I loved the image when I first saw it released but hesitated as the colours used seemed so different to the original. On closer look the colours were brought out and highlighted the reflection of sunlight and gave it warmth and dreamlike quality. It’s has become my favourite and nothing I would change. I love that it was square and just the right size.
