Mr. Cormier’s career in movie poster and book cover illustration began after years of studying and drawing the human anatomy and graduating from Art Center College of Design. His enthusiasm for painting marine life came much earlier while working with his father, a professor specializing in bioluminescent sea creatures.

This was my first Diamond Art Club project and I feel like I started from the deep end. This is the largest diamond painting I've bought so far and it did take three months of steady almost-daily work to complete. The finished painting is bright, colourful, and very beautiful.
The design is excellent of course. The canvas is of very good quality and the adhesive was strong over the entire surface of the artwork. I'm not sure if I like the way the covering plastic is perforated because it forced me to only work on one square at a time. That's not my preference because I like working one colour in an area at a time, and I would like more freedom in how I structure my work. The perforations also tore quite a bit.
I would have given this five stars, however the quality of the resin diamonds was only adequate. The sizes were very uneven and many times had bits of flashing around the edges or outright holes. In the finished design you don't notice this, but I am fussy about my placement and I wanted it to be perfect and it certainly wasn't. If I had been strict about it, I would have discarded about 10% of the diamonds. I didn't because I was worried about running out of diamonds.
I am still very happy with the finished work.
The colors are so vibrant. The rendering is perfect!
This is my first canvas from Diamond Art Club.
It’s the piece which first introduced me to DAC and all their artwork. I took this kit to finish it for my grandparents who live across the ocean from me and with all the rush I didn't grab all the colors with me, but I intend to finish it when I come back.
It is gorgeous just by looking at it.
Loved doing it. It was my biggest canvas so far, but it goes very quickly cause of the big amount of colourblocking. Had so much fun to do this one.

I love the way this one came together. It’s very nice. It’s a big one.
Absolutely beautiful and came together very well.
I loved it when it was completed! It was absolutely gorgeous. I did notice a LOT of unusable drills in this one. Making some of the colors short. Then I had to get replacements on different colors when my dog decided to chew the corner of the picture. (These ended up not even being the colors I was short! Thank goodness one of my friends had extras of the color I needed) When replacements were sent it took over a month to get them. So I had a love hate relationship with this one for sure but love it so much now that it’s complete!
