This diamond painting is full of color blocking and line blocking. It did stay interesting for me most of the time, but not all the time. I didn't think that I would enjoy the lower half of the canvas with the mermaid's tail and the bottom of the cake, but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. There were very distinct lines outlining the design, and I enjoyed this aspect, and the color gradient on the frosting. I thought I would enjoy doing the background on the top half since it has sprinkles of different colors and diamond types, but the sprinkles ended up not being enough to make it interesting for me. I knew that I would enjoy diamond painting most of the mermaid, and I did. I did like the way the image came out. The mermaid is cute, and this is a nice and festive diamond art to display for a birthday.
