Lucie Bilodeau was born in Montreal, Canada. Since many of us have a very busy and often stressful life, it is important for me to bring the calming and rejuvenating effect of nature into people’s lives through my artwork. Things that ignite her creativity have ranged from her trips to Montana, her photo safari in Africa, her visits to zoos, butterfly farms, and the times she spends with her two cats, and even flowers and wildlife in her backyard. To transport the viewers to peaceful places, New England and parts of her native Canada are often inspirations for her landscape and seascape paintings. The artists fantasy and spiritual paintings come from her vibrant imagination and the beauty of her models, which are often relatives and friends.. After spending 28 years living in the United States, she moved back to Canada in 2020. She has been making a living as a professional artist since 1993.

This is my favorite completed canvas so far. The colors are absolutely beautiful. A Moment of Tranquility is the perfect name as this is a very relaxing and tranquil beach scene. I think I am going to seal this one so that I can frame without glass, as in my experience plexiglass can mute the beauty of a diamond painting.
The quality of the canvas and the drills lived up to DAC’s reputation. If you love beach scenes, this canvas is a must have.
