Silver German Shepherd

This painting is absolutely gorgeous and truly captures the beauty of a Silver German Shepherd. The rendering is stunning, and the overall finished piece has such a bold, powerful presence, it’s one of those canvases that instantly grabs attention.

That said, I did run into some of the typical issues that tend to come with darker drills. The 310s and 823s had a higher amount of trash drills than expected, and I ultimately had to dip into my personal reserve stash to finish the painting. While this wasn’t a dealbreaker (this is one of the main reasons why I hold onto past drills), it’s worth noting if you’re planning to work on this one.

I also made a small modification to the area near the nose. The white drills placed there felt a bit awkward and didn’t quite blend naturally, so I removed them and replaced that section with a darker background. This adjustment really made the nose pop and gave the painting a more cohesive look.

Overall, despite the drill imperfections, the artwork itself is breathtaking, and the finished product is well worth the effort. It’s a canvas that truly shines once completed and will definitely be a standout piece in any collection.
