After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling. She is a self taught artist whos work often contains hidden elements and a twist or two if you look closely.

Dreaming of being human to me 3 months to complete. I'm pretty slow though. I used some enhancement drills. She turned out better than I could have imagined and I've already taken her to be professionally framed. Woohoo.
