After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling.
